This new blog will hopefully be the home to many posts chronicling the new adventures Robert and I will be having as we take the first big step since getting married...moving away from home.
To begin our story...On February 24th Robert was accepted to BYU-Provo, starting the summer term. However, I received the news at 8am that morning while Robert was at work. Per his request I couldn't tell him of the wonderful news and had to WAIT ALL DAY until he came home at 4:30pm. It was the longest day ever! So to help pass the time I went and got balloons and printed out his acceptance letter so that was the first thing he saw when he came home.
Needless to say he was excited.
With the news came excitement and sorrow. I am extrememly excited for the opportunity Robert will have in attending BYU as well as being able to move back there (I lived in UT for 4 years). The sorrow comes from leaving family, friends, and our ward family. I hope this blog with help ease some of the sorrow (along with many phone calls, sessions on Skype, and trips back to San Diego).
So to begin our journey comes 2 things: 1. Research on housing options, insurance, and future finances and 2. Decluttering and Packing. Thankfully I love all those things. I love researching!! Call me strange but it is true. Looking for housing has been alot of fun. We have it narrowed down to 3-4 places (just waiting on returned emails/phone calls). I also have been wanting to declutter our belongings since we got married. We will also be selling Robert's car which will probably prove to be more stressful than I would like it. So for the next two months I will be potentially be a basketcase trying to get everything done.
I will continue to excite you with our doings (or just keep myself amused).
Stay Tuned...
